IQ Endoscopes secures follow-on investment to accelerate commercial rollout and support healthcare efficiency

IQ Endoscopes is pleased to announce a significant multi-million pound follow-on investment from BGF and the Development Bank of Wales, marking a major step forward in our mission to transform endoscopy services and help healthcare providers deliver faster, more efficient care.

This latest funding round comes at a pivotal moment as we transition from early commercial rollout towards broader market adoption across the UK. The investment will allow us to strengthen manufacturing and supply chain capability and expand our commercial pipeline in preparation for large-scale deployment.

Supporting healthcare providers under increasing pressure

Demand for endoscopy remains a constant, driven by ageing populations, heightened screening needs and growing awareness of early detection in gastrointestinal disease. This has resulted in increasing pressure on endoscopy units and lengthy waiting lists that impact clinical outcomes and patient experience.

At IQ Endoscopes, we are committed to providing solutions that help healthcare systems overcome these challenges. By enabling more efficient workflows and supporting higher throughput, our technology is designed to give clinicians the tools they need to deliver timely, high-quality care to more patients.

The investment from BGF and the Development Bank of Wales brings us one step closer to achieving this at scale. Expanding our commercial reach helps bring our single use endoscopy technology into everyday clinical practice.

Bringing practical innovation to the front line of care

Commenting on the investment, Matt Ginn, CEO of IQ Endoscopes, said:

“This investment is a significant step forward for IQ Endoscopes as we move into the next phase of our growth. Support from BGF and the Development Bank of Wales has been instrumental in helping us reach this point, and we’re excited to continue to work closely alongside them as we bring our technology into real-world clinical use.”

As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: to empower clinicians with endoscopy technology that enables better workflow, reduces pressure on clinical teams and ultimately helps treat patients sooner.

This new funding accelerates our path towards achieving these goals. It enables us to scale with confidence, deepen our collaborations with healthcare providers and continue delivering meaningful innovation designed for the realities of modern clinical practice.

We look forward to the next stage of our journey and remain deeply grateful to our investors for their continued support and belief in our mission.
